Tsinghua University, as the highest institution of learning in China, the school’s student career development guidance center faces the situation of insufficient use of recruitment space during the graduation season every year, in order to alleviate this situation, the school’s Architectural Design Institute through multi-directional discussions, the national comparison, and finally decided to plan the top of the building’s foundation to strengthen, and then install the motorized opening and closing of the roof, after the central ministry of finance special appropriations, the project was ultimately by the Architectural Design Institute of Tsinghua University, the construction of the Tianyi Group, Suzhou Suez Intelligent Technology Co. Group and Suzhou Sunrim Intelligent Technology.

The sunken rooftop garden is now named Meituan Innovation Space by Meituan Company, and has become an indoor and outdoor event space. In addition to job fairs, it also undertakes part of the academic and other meetings, and has become the place where every Tsinghua student passes through after graduation.
